After leaving Barbados to travel to the UK for the summer to visit family, I realized quite quickly how different the two places operated.
I was very fortunate to be born in Barbados and spent most of my childhood there with my two sisters. We lived very close to the beach and my mum used to say she would take us there from very young for a sea bath most mornings at 6 am before she went to work. It was a nice way to start the day for all of us.
Barbados reopened its doors for commercial airlift on Sunday, July 12th. The very first airline to touch down again on our shores was an Air Canada flight from Toronto. In line with COVID 19 regulations, the government of Barbados has placed strict measures to protect the health and safety of its citizens and visitors.
