We are now past the half-year mark for 2019. How did that happen so fast?  I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the last 6-months and share some insights into the residential long-term rental market so far for the year.

If you are anything like me, then you too are obsessed with HGTV, and especially shows like Fixer Upper, Love it or List It, Flip or Flop etc. You get the picture. These shows take “ugly duckling” homes and transform them into dream homes. I always think, why can’t we do that here?

In this world of ‘new school’ (post-market crash), business is tough and extremely competitive. Buyers are difficult to find and are very cautious with decision making. While I have only ever known the ‘new school’ world, I am fully aware that the real estate world of ‘old school’ (pre-market crash) existed in a booming market with buyers falling out of the sky.
